Some of these gadgets might not be in the market yet. I’ve posted a link for every gadget you see here. If you want to view the entire gadget list available go directly to http://www.slipperybrick.com/. But if you want to check out just a few of these, then by all means read on. All you read here is from slipperybrick.com. I quote everything I copied from the site.

ipod touch nano with removable game controller

“This is what an iPod Touch Nano might look like should Apple release one. It’s designed by Isamu Sanada and the iPod Touch Nano features a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, 3.5mm headphone jack, dual dock connectors, and would come in a variety of colorful cases. Probably the coolest thing about the design is the removable game controller for when the accelerometer and touchscreen aren’t enough.” more>>

Motorola’s VE66 5-megapixel phone

“If you like the ZN5, but want something more, uh…rounded, and a slider, Motorola has something new for you. The VE66. It will give you a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, image stabilization, WiFi, FM radio, CrystalTalk noise reduction, and a nice navigation wheel to make your life easier. It should launch some time this quarter. It’s got lots of good looks over the ZN5.” more>>

The new i-Dog is a speaker you cuddle with

Burns: “Gentlemen we can rebuild him. We can make him cuddlier in shades of white, blue and pink that should appeal to teen girls.”

Smithers: “Yes, these teen girls…Their parents have money. We’ll be giving them the exact same product. It’s just wearing a snuggly jacket”

Burns: “Damn if that’s not a perfect way of introducing ’something new’ during this economic crisis. Get on it right away”

Smithers: “One thing sir. How should we handle the marketing?”

Burns: “Let the blogs take care of that.”

Smithers: “Brilliant as always sir.” more>>

iPhone Hand Grip charger makes you work for a full battery

“Sometimes going green can be a real pain. Take this green concept for instance. This iPhone hand grip charger will give you Hulk hands before you even get a full battery. Great for a hand workout, but you’d have to be pretty dedicated to your iPhone to stick with it.

This concept is called “You can work it out” and it was designed by Mac Funamizu, who must have huge beefy clown hands and an always working iPhone. Apple should offer some accessories like this ala Wii Fit. Various exercise gadgets to power up Apple products owned by the obese. It would be green and lean. That’s the slogan right there.” more>>

My Top 5 Comedic Films

I have a stacked list of movies that fit under this genre. But I’m only going to list 5 of my favorites here. Like my other posts, I will not be adding the movies’ synopsis. Instead, I’ll comment on them, more like a critic with no idea of being one. Anyway, here’s my top favorite recent comedic movies:

Nacho Libre (2006)

Nacho Libre (2006)

1. Nacho Libre

Nope, that’s not Superman your seeing. Your eyesight must be blurred.

It’s Jack Black trying to fly.

This is my top favorite comedic film. Jack Black delivers again!

Kung Fu Hustle (2005)

Kung Fu Hustle (2005)

2. Kung Fu Hustle

Possibly the most funniest kung fu movie I have ever seen. Now I know Jackie Chan’s films are funny too, but this one just hit the spot.

Blades Of Glory (2007)

Blades Of Glory (2007)

3. Blades of Glory

The first time I saw this movie’s poster, I thought it was a gay film like Brokeback Mountain. Well, that’s because I didn’t get to see the trailer of this movie (:-P). One of my friends recommended this to me. I wasn’t expecting much, but boy was I kicked with laughter with this one.

Get Smart (2008)

Get Smart (2008)

4. Get Smart

The Rock is in this film. But I really don’t know if he was aiming for comedy or just offbeat comedy. Couldn’t really tell. But he was able to pull it off. A good movie.

Hot Rod (2007)

Hot Rod (2007)

5. Hot Rod

This one will “smack destiny in the face”. Well, this film’s punch line delivered. A good movie worth wasting your time on. Hey, what else have you to do anyway?

Well, I know I didn’t explain much about the movies (lol). I just wanted to show my list. If you have list of recent movies in this genre, please send me a link or list your movies in the comments area. Criticism is welcomed here, but give a recommendation of a movie afterwards. Later. 🙂

Animated Movies

Are you tired of watching real people act? Or did one of your favorite actors have a poor performance scale in his/her latest movie?

Well, if you’ve said yes to any of the two questions, then you might want to try out some animated movies. No, this is not “anime” movies. Those are different. They don’t usually reach the big screen in theatres but sold in Japan Anime stores. These animated movies I’m talking about are movies with known actors giving voice-overs to animated characters (well, some movies like Kung Fu Panda; Jack Black as the panda). Maybe you’ll hear your favorite actor dubbing for one in one of the animated movies below.

Sorry, you’ll find no synopsis here. But I recommend watching them. Take a breather. Watch one.

Love-Romance Anime

Ouran Host Club

Ouran Host Club

At first I wasn’t really interested in this type of anime genre. I thought it was all boring and mooshy. I guess this title opened my mind to this type of anime.

Ouran Host Club. I really don’t know what to say. You have to watch this if you’re a die-hard romantic. I know I’m not (:-P), but this has a really good story with a kick of comedy (oh yeah, romance too). The 1st episode alone led me to watch the 2nd, then the 3rd, then the 4th.. couldn’t get enough. Don’t take my word for it. Try watching one episode to see for yourself.

If you have recommendations on some titles relating to this genre, I will be glad to take a look at them. Post some titles in the comments. Later. 🙂

Futuristic Anime

Here is a list of anime that I’ve watched which I think is “futuristic”. But to others, some of these might fit better under the “parallel world” type of anime. I put these under futuristic because, well, most of the technology showed in these anime do not exist yet (maybe I’m just hoping they become the future). Anyway, I won’t be posting the synopsis for these anime (sorry, Google-it). But I recommend watching all of them. I’ll rank them at the bottom according to my preference.

  1. No e in
  2. Dual
  3. Escaflowne
  4. Vandread
  5. Scrapped Princess

I would like to know if there are more anime like these. I welcome your recommendations in the comments area. 🙂

Vampirical Anime

I haven’t watched much vampire anime yet. Here are some titles of series i’ve watched (but have not finished) so far. I only watch these anime whenever I feel gloomy or in a very dark mood. More like a Gothic-mood.

Tsukuyomi: Moon Phase

Moon Phase

Tsukuyomi: Moon Phase

This is a more laid-back vampire anime. But it has a nice story. It’s a little soft though. Not too much violence and a little more on the cute side. But if your looking for a soft vampire anime with romance, suspense, and comedy, you might want to try a few episodes to see if you’ll like this one.

Trinity Blood

Trinity Blood

Trinity Blood

If your looking for more of a serious vampire anime, this might quench your thirst. But I warn you. The story could be very serious (and boring). The main character’s attitude has a resemblance to Trigun’s Vash Stampede. Well, try it out for yourself.

If you don’t have the time to watch a whole series, then try these vampire anime movies out. I give high recommendation to each one. Expect a lot of gore and violence from each film.

Bloodlust

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust

The Last Vampire

Blood: The Last Vampire

My Top 5 Romantic Films

Here is a list of romantic/romantic-comedy movies I have watched so far:

Here is my Top 5 list:

(Sorry, I’m not posting the synopsis for any of these. You can Google-it for yourself. ^_^)

1.  My Sassy Girl (2001)

For some, The Princess Bride should be number 1. I like that movie very much too, but this movie just swept me away with the story. If you’re a die hard romantic, you’ve got to watch this. This is a Korean movie so you’ll have to find one with English subtitles. Don’t watch the English dubbed ones, they ruin it sometimes.

2.  The Princess Bride (1987)

Yes, this must be on the list. You can’t have a top romantic list without it. But sadly it’s not number 1. I usually see this movie on the number 1 spot on others top 5 or 10 list. This is a classic. Not that it’s old or anything, well the film is old, but the romance in this movie doesn’t seem to die. A must see times infinity.

3.  Stardust (2007)

A fantasy-romance movie with a very good story. Ever wonder what happens if you catch a falling star? This might give you an idea.

4.  Windstruck (2004)

Another Korean movie with the same leading lady in “My Sassy Girl”. The Koreans are making really good romantic movies these days. Their nation must be in the “state of love-mity” (love + calamity = love-mity… 😛 … criticize all you want, that word isn’t changing). Well anyway, this movie is somewhat related to “My Sassy Girl”. You’ll have to watch both for yourself to find out. Both films depict real world scenarios with a kick of comedy.

5.  Jack And Jill vs The World (2008)

I don’t know why this is here. I’ll try to change this last one when I remember something better. What? You want me to put “Batman: The Gotham Knight” here? But Rachel died!! 😯 … well anyway, back to the movie. This film is romantic in a more modern American way. You know how it is: Sex then romance, then more sex, then more romance.. sex.. sex.. yup, the American liberated romantic way. But this also has a nice story. A real world scenario with a little comedy. You’ll see.. ever see a guy talking to a pigeon?

I apologize for putting only my comments and what-not here. I just wanted to post my list.

I want to see your list of romantic films. List them down in the comments or send me a link to your post.

Criticism is welcome here. But leave recommendations or your list afterwards. Later! 🙂
